BJP to hold NE meet on Jan 17

UDHAMPUR, Jan 2: As a preparatory for Lok Sabha elections the BJP is holding the National Executive meeting at New Dehli on January 17.
This will be followed by two days National Council meeting of the party on January 18 and 19. This was stated by party national general secretary (Organisation) Ram Lal while addressing a workers meeting of Parliamentary Constituency of Kathua –Udhampur here today.
Ram Lal, who reached here yesterday is on three days tour of Jammu region along with senior BJP leader and Prabhari of the State, Avinash Roy Khanna.
The National Council meet will be attended by representatives from the States also.
The meeting at Udhampur discussed election management and constitution of polling booths and the district wise and booth wise reports were sought from the party representatives from the districts and Mandals.
The representatives and office bearers from Udhampur, Kathua, Reasi, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts participated in the meeting. However various representatives from Kishtwar and Doda districts could not attend the meeting due to heavy snowfall and road blockade.
The BJP State president Jugal Kishore Sharma, its Legislative party leader, Ashok Khajuria, Dr Nirmal Singh, Dr Jitendra Singh, Shemsher Singh Manhas, Kavinder Gupta, Pawan Gupta, Som Raj Khajuria, Pawan Khajuria, Ram Nand Baria, Chajju Ram Shastri, and Dina Nath Bhaga were among others who attended the meeting.
Ram Lal stressed the BJP leaders to work for strengthening the party at grass root level to ensure its victory in the coming elections as people are keen that Narendra Modi should be the next Prime Minister of the country.
Tomorrow, Mr Lal will convene the workers meeting for Jammu- Poonch Parliamentary Constituency at Jammu.
