JAMMU, Jan 14:  Rajiv Chuni, Chairman, SOS International – an Organization for PoK Displaced Persons, today alleged that BJP was spoiling the case of the PoK DPs by recommending the case of Kashmiri Pandits to visit Sharda Peeth in occupied Kashmir.
While addressing a rally of PoK DPs at Meheshpura Jammu, Chuni said it was very unfortunate on part of BJP that it was spoiling the case of PoK DPs and distorting the history of J&K by recommending KPs to visit PoK, ignoring the facts that it was the PoK DPs only who were thrown out of the areas of erstwhile J&K, which is under illegal occupation of Pakistan and known as PoK.
“KPs have nothing to do with this PoK territory; they only want to associate themselves with the issue of PoK. It is only PoK DPs who were subjected to genocide in 1947 from the erstwhile areas of J&K and not the KPs,” he said and reminded that no one from BJP ever recommended for their visit to ancestral and religious places in PoK i.e. Ali Begh Gurudwara in Bhimber, Mangla Temple in Mirpur, Khoiratta in Kotli and Sharda Temple in Muzaffarabad.
“By recommending the case of KPs to visit Muzaffarabad is an attempt of BJP to spoil the case of PoK DPs. Here we want to know from BJP that why KPs were not demanding to visit PoK before their self imposed exile? BJP must distant themselves from this dirty politics of loving Valley Migrants and hating PoK DPs,” he said and drew attention towards the plights of DPs, who have facing the brunt of various successive Governments.
Chuni alleged that the Government was deliberately delaying a comprehensive relief package for the PoK DPs, which includes cash relief, employment package for unemployed PoK DPs, reservation to wards in technical and professional colleges across the country and many more.  “These are our constitutional rights, we are not begging before Government but we have been raising our voice for justice,” he said.
Others who also spoke, included Prof  J S Mangal, Prof  N  N  Sharma, Ved Raj Bali, Gurmit Singh Isher, Tilak Raj Sethi, Sharda Devi, Parmod Ghai, Sanjeev Kumar and Vijay Gupta. V  K  Datta conducted stage proceedings.
