BJP reviews arrangements for Amit Shah’s visit

JAMMU, June 16: The State unit of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today held a review meeting ahead of the visit of its national president, Amit Shah.
The meeting was chaired by party general secretary, Dr Narinder Singh along with State vice-president Yudhvir Sethi, State spokesperson, Brig (Retd) Anil Gupta and MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta.
The meeting witnessed discussions on various programmes in connection with the visit of BJP national president and other senior leaders. It was also informed that a book will be released on the occasion by BJP national president Amit Shah along with BJP national general secretary (Org) Ram Lal and Director (Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee Research Foundation) Dr Anirban Ganguly.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina (MLA), Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta and other senior leaders will also grace the programme with their presence.
While addressing the meeting, Dr Narinder Singh informed that on the occasion of 65th Martyrdom Day of Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, rich tributes will be paid to the great ideologue and a book will be released by the dignitaries named “A saga of sacrifices… Praja Parishad Movement in Jammu & Kashmir” on Saturday, 23rd of June at Convention Centre, Jammu.
The programme is being organized by Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee Research Foundation, New Delhi and Nanaji Deshmukh Library, Jammu. He said that the book will serve the purpose to enlighten the minds of everyone about the struggles and sacrifices that have been suffered by the brave for our better today and tomorrow.
The prominent persons present in the meeting were given the responsibilities to ensure the success of the programme.
