JAMMU, Feb 20: BJP Freedom Fighters & Martyrs Cell under its State Convenor Bharat Bhushan Sharma, organized a programme on the birthday of great Indian Warrior Shivaji Maharaj. The party leaders laid wreaths at the portrait of Shivaji and paid the floral tributes to him.
BJP State spokesperson Prof. Virender Gupta, while speaking on the life of Shivaji, threw light on  the valour and actions of great warrior. He said that he fought against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in South Western Indian region and Guru Gobind Singhji fought against Aurangzeb in Punjab region. He emphasized the fighting spirits and social efforts of Shivaji and said that various Muslims were also the part of the Maratha army and the main persons who manage the canons were Muslims also.
BJP State secretary Aseem Gupta, while terming Shivaji as the most brave soldier and very good in management of the battle line,  said that Shivaji was expert in the guerrilla warfare.
BJP Jammu district president Baldev Singh Billawaria said that Shivaji was extremely devoted to his mother Jijabai, who was deeply religious. Shivaji established a competent and progressive civil rule with the help of a disciplined military and well structured administrative organization.
BJP Jammu West district president Ayodhya Gupta said that Shivaji fought various battles against Mughals and conquered many of them.
Bharat Bhushan Sharma said that Shivaji was very skilful in administrative policy making and warfare. Socially also he was a very good human being, he added.
Balbir Ram Rattan, Suresh Sharma, Rachhpal Singh, Kulbushan Mohtra, Tilak Gupta,  Amit Sharma, Shilpi Verma, Sheela Handoo, Harbans Choudhary, B.S. Advocate, Dr. Ali Mohd. Mir also paid their tributes.
