BJP reiterates one place settlement of Pandits

JAMMU, Jan 25:  BJP Displaced District in its meeting while reiterating its demand that the settlement of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley was only possible if the community is rehabilitated at a single place and political parties and the Government in this regard should take the cognizance of the resolution passed by it in September 13 last year.
This was stated by the president of the BJP displaced district, Chand Ji Bhat while addressing a meeting here today. The meeting among others was addressed by its vice presidents, J L Pandita and Ravinder Razdan, general secretaries, P L Dhar and Bharat Bushan Gosani, secretaries, C L Pandita, C L Koul and A K Sher.
The meeting while maintaining that BJP is committed to return and rehabilitation of Pandits in Valley and party had taken various steps for their temporary settlement outside Valley after their mass exodus in 1989-90, has appealed the opposition parties who brought the resolution to cooperate with the Government in settlement of Pandits in Valley. It said the resolution should be followed in letter and spirit and expressed the hope that the political parties will not keep it confined
to letter only. The political parties as well as Government must ensure their return with retention and that is only possible by settling the Pandits at a single place in Valley, it added.
