AKHNOOR. July 8: Former ministers Madan Lal Sharma and Sham Lal Sharma today listed failures of BDP-BJP Government and mocked at then coalition by dubbing it as `collision’, which   was bound to fall.
They were addressing members of Block Congress Committee, Akhnoor, here today.
Madan Lal Sharma said that tenure of BJP-PDP Government was a big failure in the J&K State, which only multiplied miseries of the people.
“The  BJP- PDP Government  failed to address the real issues of public interest like ration, power and proper connectivity of  roads across the State,” he alleged and  expressed  serious concern over callousness of the previous Government..
“The tenure of previous PDP- BJP Govt was full of doubts, tall promises falling flat, loud rhetoric and confusions. People are absolutely disillusioned by the failure of this Government even as they had lot of expectations as there was Modi Sarkar in the Center but look how people continue to suffer,”said the former MP.
He further alleged that be it the issue of Common Civil Code or Article 370,  BJP  surrendered before PDP despite getting  all seats from Jammu region. “Now BJP is attempting to blame others for its failures but it would not serve any purpose as the people are well aware of party’s nefarious designs,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister Sham Lal Sharma said that the Government has fallen and the Assembly has been placed under suspended animation, which is totally wrong. The Constitution states that if any of the political party is not in a position to form the Government, the Assembly needs to be dissolved, he added and stressed for immediate dissolution of the State Assembly for holding fresh elections.
“Even as the Ste Assembly is in suspended animation, the MLAs are drawing their salaries without any work and it is a big drain on the State exchequer,” he said and also drew attention towards the BJP’s attempts of horse trading.
“PDP -BJP was an unholy alliance and it was bound to break from day one. They betrayed the people of Jammu who will now teach them a lesson,” Sham Lal Sharma said.
Ex Minister Manjeet Singh also addressed the gathering and said that situation on the borders was alarming as the NDA Government has failed to protect the lives of innocent civilians.
