JAMMU, Nov 5: Former Minister and District Congress president, Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has strongly accused BJP of its misrule, corruption, favoritism, discrimination, nepotism and misdeeds during its coalition Government in J&K and termed it as the black chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press statement here, Dr Sharma said that it is a matter of great concern that even the youth who supposed to be the builder of nation’s future were exploited badly for their vested means and political interests leaving them directionless and in hallow sphere due to which their capabilities and energy which was believed to used for national building, gone in negative direction.
He further said that it is very unfortunate that the BJP and its leadership did not spare even the womenfolk and exploited them by using their political positions. On number of occasions the women workers /leaders raised their concern against the BJP leadership including legislature clearly alleging about their exploitation but the BJP leadership tried to hush up the matter and did not bother to enquire into it so that the truth may come out.
Dr Sharma demanded high level probe in J&K Bank appointment scam which was unearthed by Governor recently and illegal appointments in J&K Public Service Commission. He also alleged that Speaker, Dr Singh misused his position not only succeeded in getting the huge loan as well but the amount was waived off as a NPA and the construction of the building is still going there illegally and unauthorizedly despite objections raised by the Army authorities.
The DCC president appealed to the J&K Governor to constitute a high level committee to probe the matter of Bank and PSC appointments made during the BJP- PDP rule so that trust of the people is restored.
