KISHTWAR, May 11: Launching frontal attack on the BJP and PDP in the State, Pradesh Youth Congress today alleged that both the parties are befooling the people of this State.
Addressing Youth Congress workers at one day convention here today, the PYC leaders alleged that while PDP played with the sentiments of people in Kashmir, the BJP duped the people of Jammu region by making false promises. The innocent public is feeling cheated now and has decided to teach lesson to these parties.
The Youth Congress convention was held under the leadership of PYC president, Pranav Shagotra, while GM Saroori (MLA Inderwal) was the chief guest.
Mr Saroori took a dig at BJP-PDP coalition for the deplorable condition of Batote- Kishtwar road leading to frequent deaths. Charging present State and Central Govts for utter failure in addressing the woes and problems of people living in remote areas, the Congress leader said that sufferings of the people have gone manifold.
He further alleged that unemployment has been a major problem and present regime is willfully ignoring this important issue. The contractual workers, daily wagers, Anganwari workers and RET teachers are on the roads due to apathy shown by present Government towards them. He claimed that BJP-PDP combined has failed to provide basic amenities to general public including adequate ration, supply of drinking water, and electricity.
PYC president, Pranav Shagotra made a scathing attack on BJP- PDP coalition for duping the hapless people of State by their false promises made during elections. He said people of this far flung areas are not provided adequate ration. This Govt is not providing timely ration to the people, PYC leader said.
He said Youth Congress activists would strongly oppose this Government for its oppressive and anti- people policies. He exhorted them to fan out in every nook and corner and highlight the issues concerning general public and expose BJP- PDP.
PYC leaders Rajvir Singh, Balbir Singh, Rashid Malik, Rashid Latif, Majeed Rahi, Waseem Raja, Waseem Saroori, Wassem Makker, Firdous Mingnoo, Suman Bhandari, Randeep Bhandari and Jatin Manhas also addressed the convention.
