BJP, PDP disastrous for J&K: Shabir Khan

RAJOURI, Nov 22: Former Health Minister and MLA Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Khan, today said that BJP and PDP are disastrous for the State like Jammu and Kashmir, where people are peace loving and still under the impact of natural calamity, which shattered the whole State.
Addressing a series of meetings at Kote, Behtrote, Rajhdani and Manyal area of his constituency, Khan said that despite all efforts the BJP which is playing divisive tactics to achieve 44+ plan for J&K State Assembly elections 2014, shall finish well short of its expected numbers, as it may not cross double figure. He said that no one even tall leaders of BJP can make any impact in Pir-Panjal region, as the Congress has given its best for the welfare of public.
The former Minister slammed the BJP Government for not caring flood victims of J&K even when people of the State were in need of much support. Khan said that BJP has failed to provide relief whatever it had promised and its leaders are making false promises with the public. He urged the people to save the secular and united cultural ethos of the State and vote for Congress to defeat the communal elements.
Khan hailed the decision of Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi to promise two Developmental Councils one for Pir Panchal and another for Chenab Valley besides two Regional Councils in the State if Congress comes to power.
The MLA Rajouri said that people must come forward with a mandate on merits. He reiterated that a massive development is being witnessed by Rajouri constituency.
Those who claimed for developmental works must count their works, which are negligible as compared to the works executed in the last six years, he said and urged the people to cast their valuable vote irrespective of religions, communities, castes and cultures and support him for the overall development of the area.
