BJP-PDP coalition failed to perform, deliver: Vikramaditya

JAMMU, July 9: Former MLC, Vikramaditya Singh today said that people of Jammu must rise above caste and party politics to choose candidates for the next elections.
He further said that the choice should be based on merit, performance and sacrifices they (candidates) have made for Jammu.
Singh was interacting with people of Souhanjana and Marh during his visit to these villages.
Taking a dig at BJP-PDP coalition, he said that both coalition partners are equally responsible and must share the blame for lack of performance and delivery especially in Jammu region.
He reminded the public that the BJP had failed to respect public sentiments from entire Jammu province comprising of all the communities to declare State holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
He highlighted the role of the border community in armed forces right from Maharaja Gulab Singh’s time to the present day and said that PDP-BJP Government had failed to address the needs of border residents.
Vikramaditya also spoke about the dismal condition of the historic Ranbir Canal that is the main water supply line for irrigation built over 100 years ago by the Dogra rulers.
He said that it was a shame that PDP-BJP Government had turned down the proposal for de-silting and repairs of the crucial canal stating lack of funds.
He said the farming sector and community were also ignored by the BJP-PDP regime.
