JAMMU, Sept 25: Glowing tributes were paid to former Jana Sangh president, a great visionary and messiah of poor and downtrodden people of India Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay on his birth anniversary here today.
In this connection a function was organised at the BJP Party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu in which the party leaders recalled the contribution of this great legendary leader to the nation. Speaking on the occasion, BJP State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, threw light on the various aspects of Pandit Ji’s life and said that the Pandit Ji during his tenure as president of the BJS gave new impetus and direction to the party and proliferated the basic carder of the party.
While paying tributes to the Upadhayaya Ji, he further said that the BJP activists should follow the foot prints of the great and visionary leader to strengthen the party by contributing our selfless services towards the nation and the society.
Kaul said that the BJP activists will do their best to make the dream of Upadhayaya Ji true by reaching up to each individual of the society. This will be a real tribute to the great leader, he stressed. He said that paying floral tributes to the legendary soul will strengthen our resolve to make the country strong by rising above all barriers in the true spirit of secularism and nationalism.
He said Pt Ji had said that real Swaraj was incomplete till the benefits of democracy don’t reach to the last man in the last queue and keeping this motto in mind the BJP activists should dedicate themselves in service of mankind not as politicians but as selfless social activists.
Parmod Kapahi, Ajay Pargal, Chander Mohan Gupta, Brig (retd) Anil Gupta, Balbir Ram Rattan, Tilak Raj Gupta, Arvind Gupta, Drakshna Andrabi, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Adv. Hunar Gupta and others were amongst the prominent BJP leaders who paid floral tributes to the great soul.
