BJP must clarify on Guv’s remarks : Mula Ram

JAMMU, Oct 28: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram today said that BJP must clarify its stand on the sensational disclosures made by the Governor, SP Malik on J&K Bank and KAS recruitment scams.
Addressing a meeting of District Congress Committee functionaries and party workers in Ward No 60 to chalk out strategy for the upcoming Panchayat elections, Mula Ram expressed serious concern over the disclosures made by the Governor and strongly demanded that a high level probe be held, fixing responsibility on the people involved and also expose the names of the beneficiaries and their relatives at top positions.
Mula Ram further asserted that the farmers are facing severe problems due to anti-farmer policies adopted by the previous PDP-BJP Government in the State. He said that farmers’ community is feeling deceived and neglected resulting in frustration and alienation among them.
“Prices of fertilisers, seeds and pesticides are touching the sky and return to the farmers is very less which has caused sense of deceit and neglect among them,” the former minister said.
Hari Singh Chib, president District Congress Committee, Jammu Rural said that BJP has betrayed the people of Jammu region by not fulfilling its promises made with the people during Assembly elections. He said BJP has got massive mandate from the Jammu regions but it (BJP) has failed to remove discrimination being faced by the people of Jammu region.
Chib expressed serious concern over the J&K Bank recruitment scam and demanded that an impartial probe be held. He also sought clarification from the BJP over the issue.
Uday Chib, president Pradesh Youth Congress, criticized the previous BJP Government for not showing its serious concern towards the problems being faced by the youth of J&K State. He said its unfortunate that despite addressing the issues of youth BJP minting money by selling the appointments of deserving and hardworking youth of J&K as per the disclosure of Governor Malik.
Rajni Bala, Corporator Ward No 60, expressed gratitude to the people of the area for giving her a chance to serve them and assured to the make Ward No 60 a model ward.
