BJP MLAs, MLCs failed to highlight demands of Jammu region: Dimple

JAMMU, Jan 30: Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has alleged that all the BJP MLAs and MLCs have failed to project demands of Jammu region properly in the State Assembly.
Addressing a press persons, Dimple levelled serious charges on the BJP legislators who did not utter a single word in the interest of Jammu region. He said the BJP has not come out with any positive result on abrogation of Article 370 or on the delimitation and even failed to do on permanent settlement of the PoK refugees and the KPs as also police and Army colonies in the Valley.
He said only few days have left for Assembly session but Jammu region issues remained un-attended. He alleged that BJP leaders remained mum on these issues and did not utter a single word in support of the Delimitation Commission which is the big reason of the discrimination with the Jammu region. The BJP also remained silent on AIIMS and Jammu Smart City issue, alleged Dimple.
Dimple appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to pass the resolution on the floor of the Assembly and the Council to start the “OPD of the Jammu AIIMS” till the AIIMS is established in the Jammu region.
Dimple also called for opening of OPD for Jammu AIIMS in the GMC and Super Speciality Hospitals and starting process for recruitment of doctors.
He demanded the Chief Minister to allocate special funds for getting solved traffic problem in the Jammu city and include the construction of the flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewal chowk in the budget.
