JAMMU, Feb 28: Lamba-sting PDP-BJP coalition for its alleged failure to accelerate developmental activities in the State, former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said this dispensation has been befooling the people through its deceiving tactics.
While interacting with a gathering at Dharap and Gorkha Nagar in Gandhi Nagar constituency today, Bhalla said since its formation, this dispensation has been befooling the people through its deceiving tactics. He said, the BJP-PDP regime has become non-performing liability on the people.
“The regime has completely failed on all fronts due to rampant favouritism,” alleged Bhalla.
He said that people of the Jammu region are back stabbed by BJP leadership as the party has brazenly abandoned its core agenda and has adopted indifferent approach towards problems of the masses.
“PDP and BJP have almost equal number of seats in the Legislative Assembly but leadership of BJP party has completely surrendered before its partner to play as second fiddle in the coalition to remain in power. This is not a coalition but a collusion regime where the parties lack consensus on important issues,” he charged.
Describing BJP Ministers of the ruling coalition as `paper tigers’, Bhalla slammed them for having allegedly failed to deliver on the ground.  He also hit out at the apathetic attitude of the Government towards the plight of the people of Jammu district, saying it had failed to even provide basic amenities to the people.
Bhalla said that PDP-BJP, when out of power, used to raise hue and cry about the Panchayat Raj system but in power, they made the Panchayat Raj system  totally defunct and usurped the rights of the general population in the Panchayats in a participatory democracy.
