JAMMU, Nov 19: Large number of women activists of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha participated in bike rally organised on occasion of the birth anniversary of freedom fighter, Rani Laxmi Bai.
The rally comprising almost 200 bikes, was flagged off by BJP State president, Ravinder Raina (MLA), Rajesh Gupta MLA East, Ex. MoS and MLA Priya Sethi, Dy. Mayor, Purnima Sharma and State president Mahila Morcha, Rajni Sethi from BJP Office Kachi Chawni and culminated at Dogra Chowk after passing through the main bazars of Jammu city to reach out to maximum number of people.

The women activists holding the flags in their hands started the rally with the great enthusiasm chanting slogans like “Vande Matram, Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Rani Laxmi Amar Rahen, Khoob Ladi Mardani Woh Toh Jhaansi Wali Rani Thi” and so on.
Ravinder Raina, while flagging off the rally, said that rally is taken out to create awareness among the women about the role of the freedom fighter, Rani Laxmi Bai. He said that the women must make Rani Laxmi Bai as their role model.
Priya Sethi, on the occasion, said that every woman has the power of Universe hidden in her inner-self. She said that only women have the capacity to deal with the family, day to day chores and her professional commitments with ease.
Purnima Sharma, prompted the women to take a lead role in all the societal activities. She said that women form sizeable 50 percent of total population, so they have to come forward and assume the role of decision makers.
Rajni Sethi, thanked all the Mahila Morcha workers for their active participation in the rally. She also appreciated their role for the extension of party activities while effectively projecting every women related issue on proper platform.
