BJP legislators hoodwinking Jammu people: Vikram

JAMMU, Jan 24: Senior Congress leader and PCC general secretary Vikram Malhotra  has castigated the conduct of legislators of ruling coalition partner, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the ongoing Budget Session of J&K State Legislature.
In a press statement,  Malhotra referred to the conduct of BJP MLA from RS Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat, where he threw the papers of Government reply in the air while the Minister of State for Tourism & Culture, Priya Sethi was reading the written reply to his question in the House on Monday, who also belongs to the same party.
The Minister was giving reply to the question pertaining to over delay in completion of Artificial Lake in Jammu, which has incurred crores of rupees since the commencement of its construction work.
“This episode itself is a testimony to the fact that there is sheer resentment brewing  among the BJP legislators in both the Houses against the working of the Government,” he said, adding, “Few days back, the BJP MLC Ramesh Arora had condemned the functioning of Health Department, especially the Government Medial College & Hospital, Jammu, which points towards dissatisfaction among the members of ruling party legislators.”
He further accused the BJP legislators including the sitting Ministers of the party of hoodwinking the people of Jammu, who, he said, have given their mandate merely for fulfillment of their aspirations.
“This also shows their complicity aimed at befooling the people,” the Congress leader added.
