RAJOURI, Feb 11: The wife of a local BJP leader died of fall from the roof top of a building at Kallar in district Rajouri today.
Reports said that there was party function in connection with the birth anniversary of Din Dayal Upadhyaya at Kallar village between Rajouri and Nowshera today. BJP district general secretary from Rajouri, Atam Parkash Gupta along with his wife, Sheetal Gupta (45) had also gone there to attend the party function. From there, the couple had to go to Jammu to attend a family function.
At Kallar, the function was at first floor of a building . She slipped down from the stairs while returning and received head injuries. She was rushed to Nowshera hospital where doctors declared her as dead. The body was then removed to her home at ward No. 2, near Forest office in Rajouri town.
