BJP for judicial probe into mass exodus, killings of Pandits

JAMMU, Jan 11: BJP Kashmir Displaced District in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president Chand Ji Bhat demanded a judicial probe into the communal riots in Anantnag district of Kashmir valley in 1986, mass exodus of KPs and massacres of the community members in Wandhama, Sangrampur, Nadimarg, Chitisinghpora, Telwani in Valley and also killings in Doda district, Gole Gulabgarh, Kalakote area, Barshala and Kulhand in Doda in Jammu region.
The meeting demanded that those involved in these carnages should be brought to justice and also a special debate be held in the ongoing session of the Assembly.
The meeting said the debate will be an eye opener for the leaders of main opposition parties.
The meeting also made an appeal to Speaker of State Legislative Assembly in this regard and appealed him to convene a debate in the House on the issue.
