BJP has lost moral authority to represent Jammu: Harsh

JAMMU, Oct 5: Expressing fury and outrage against the BJP’s virtual surrender before the Kashmiri leadership for the sake of power, a large number of National Panthers Party activists  took out ` Hunkaar Rally” in  Jammu city.
Party chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh  and party president Balwant Singh Mankotia were leading the rally which comprised of  hundreds of two wheelers and motorcade of  cars.  Yash Paul Kundal, State president of  Young Panthers and several other leaders also joined them.

The rally urged upon the people to support and strengthen their own Jammu based party to get rid of decades old socio-political discrimination, started from Samadhian Road (Behind Fortune Riviera Hotel) after passing through several markets of the city vis-a-vis Press Club lane, Dogra Chowk, Jewel Chowk, Science College, Canal Road, Talab Tillo, Bakshi Nagar, Rehari Colony, Subash Nagar, Top Sherkhania, Patoli, Paloura Chowk, Ram Leela Ground Jaggi Darbar, Janipur Chowk, New Plot, Ambphalla, Panjtirthi, Dhounthly Bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar, Raj Tilk Road, City Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar, Raghunath Mandir Chowk, Gurdwara Sunder Singh Road, Vivekanand Chowk, Prem Nagar, Gujjar Nagar Bridge, PHQ Chowk, Bikram Chowk, DPL, Green Belt Park, Aquaf Market, Gole Market, Apsara Road, Shastri Nagar and  finally culminated at Panthers Party office, Gandhi Nagar.
While addressing the media, Harsh Dev Singh said that the people of Jammu region had voted BJP to power with an overwhelming mandate in the last Assembly elections with the hope and belief that Jammu region would be ensured its due share and rights. He lamented that unfortunately none of the Saffron party’s Ministers/MLAs could rake up the voice of the people in the Assembly in the last three years which had immensely dented Dogra pride and honour. He added that the BJP ignored all the Jammu related issues and the aspirations of the people.
Asserting that people of Jammu region were fast reposing faith in the Panthers Party,  he appealed  to all sections of civil society for a united and concerted fight against socio-political discrimination doled out to Jammu region. He lambasted the BJP for indulging in double standards and duplicity over the issues of Art 35A, abolition of Lakhanpur toll tax plaza and deportation of Rohingyas, Bangladeshis from Jammu which had led to huge public embitterment against the Saffron brigade.
