BJP Govt in Gujarat failed to fulfill promises made to women: Rahul to PM

NEW DELHI , Dec 3: Continuing his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the run-up to the Assembly elections in Gujarat,  Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday accused the BJP Government in the state of failing to fulfill promises made to women.
Posing his fifth in a series of questions being raised by him to the Prime Minister, Mr Gandhi said ,”In the 22 years of BJP rule in Gujarat,  women in the state did not get any security,  education or nutrition.
Rather,  they were only exploited. Whether it be Anganwadi workers or Asha workers, they  got only disappointment.
The BJP Government in Gujarat made only empty promises to sisters of Gujarat,  they never intended to fulfill them.” This is the fifth in the series of questions posed to Mr Modi by the Congress vice-president. In his earlier questions, Mr Gandhi had charged the BJP government in the state with having caused a loss to the state exchequer by buying power from private companies at much higher rate compared  to that charged by state run power units.
On Saturday, he had charged the Government in the state with failing to provide affordable education to students in schools and colleges in the state.  ‘Why is Gujarat at 26th place in terms of spending on education?  What is the fault of the youth?,”he had asked.  (UNI)
