JAMMU, Jan 17: Former Minister and senior PCC leader Sham Lal Sharma today expressed his serious concern over the statement of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri made in the Assembly that whatever the leader of the House, CM Mehbooba Mufti had said regarding the ex-gratia to stone pelters the Govt endorsed it.
The Congress leader said that Veeri made the statement in Legislative Assembly in presence of BJP ministers/MLAs including Deputy Chief Minister. He expressed surprise that none of the Ministers/MLAs of BJP objected to this statement, instead thumped the desks in support of the statement of the PDP Minister.
Sham Lal further said that the BJP Ministers/MLAs for the lust of power, have succumbed before the PDP’s anti-national policies. By supporting this move of the Government it is clear that BJP is in hand and glove with the Govt as far as concessions given by the BJP-PDP Govt to anti-nationals is concerned.
Sham further added that the DyCM had given a statement regarding the killing of millitant Bhuran Wani that his death was accidental which is unbecoming from the party who consider themselves as the Nationalist.
Congress leader added that the stone pelting incident took place over the backdrop of the killing of militant Burhan Wani where the antinational elements also burnt Govt properties, education institutions and also killed security force personnel. Such activities were antinational and as such they deserve no compensation. He also said that in the Amarnath land row there were no antinational activities nor any anti Indian slogans were raised by the protesters and victims of this agitation fully merit for compensation.
Sharma further said that the present alliance is dominated by the PDP as whatever decision they take, BJP has to abide by the same whether it is in the interest of Jammu region or otherwise, as they have surrendered before PDP by compromising on their so called pro- national party.
He exhorted upon the people of Jammu that they should understand the real face of BJP and should teach them the lesson as and when they get the opportunity so that the valley like situation may not take place in Jammu.
