JAMMU, Oct 30: Overall development of all the three regions will be the main poll plank of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the next month Assembly elections in the State.
This was stated by the Minister of State in PMO with Independent charge of Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh while talking to reporters at the sidelines of a function held at Indian Institute of Integrated Medicines (IIIM) here today.
Dr Singh said BJP has emerged as a role model in the States of Gujarat, Chattisgarh, MP and the people in J&K also want that similar role model be reproduced here also.
Terming that BJP is a disciplined and a cadre based Party where inner party democracy prevails and decisions are taken unanimously, he said it is not a dynastic rule based Party or father son duo Party where the decisions are thrusted on the Party men and where there is no respect for inner party democracy.
Maintaining that people are happy with policies, programmes and performance of BJP, Dr Jitendra Singh said that like other parts of the country people in J&K are also coming more closer to the Party and want a BJP Government in the State to undo the wrongs done in past and give the people of the State a clean and responsive Government.
He said even people in Kashmir Valley have now realized that a misunderstanding was created in their minds about the BJP and they are now developing a proximity towards the Party day by day. He said a recent survey has also revealed that 70 percent Muslims all over the country have said they feel more secure under BJP rule.
He said ‘minimum Government and maximum governance’ agenda of Modi Government was finding favour in the entire State including Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Singh said that based on Party performance at the Centre, the BJP cadres are in a upbeat mood in the State and they will join the campaigning with big a bang and by taking the message of the Party and its performance in the last five months at the Centre to every nook and corner of the State to make its Mission 44+ a real success.
He said Party has made all preparations for the elections in the State and senior national leaders including Prime Minister will also join the campaigning.
Ruling out that BJP is going to break any party, he said the people are joining the Party in large numbers as they are highly influenced by the BJP policies, programmes and its performance at the Centre and other States ruled by it. “We are not going to break any party but people themselves come to join us in large numbers by deserting their parent parties”, he added.
On the announcement of Chief Ministerial candidate in the State, he said that CM candidate is not named before the poll. But after the elections’ it is the Legislative Party which elects its leader to be named as Chief Ministerial candidate. When asked that his name is also making rounds as a CM candidate, Dr Singh said it is a hypothetical question and he will not make any comment on it.
