BJP dividing society for electoral gains: Bhardwaj

BISHNAH, Jan 20: Senior Congress leader and member AICC MK Bhardwaj has cautioned the people to remain vigilant against nefarious designs of BJP to polarise and divide the society in all possible ways, for narrow electoral benefits.
Addressing an impressive gathering of people from all sections of the society, here today, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP strategists were working overtime to devise this divisive policy as the Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections draw nearer.
“I appeal to you to remain vigilant against such evil designs of the BJP leaders which they are harping on to divert attention from their failures to fulfill promises made to the people. You must question them when they come to seek your votes as to what happened to the promises made by Centre and BJP-PDP State Governments,” he added.
Bhardwaj said that to the contrary Congress has a proven track record of working for the well being of all sections of the society particularly poor, weaker sections and underprivileged.” Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi is committed to further pursue this policy after people vote us back to power,” he assured.
He claimed that the Government has done nothing to ensure uninterrupted water, power and ration supply through PDS system, to these areas. As a result the people are neither getting these essentials and in the absence of water and power supply have not been able to carry out their agricultural activities. He demanded a Degree College at Arnia for the education the students residing on the border areas. Special recruitment drive should be immediately undertaken for the employment of the youth residing in the border Tehsil of Arnia.
Ashok Sharma, former MLA and Coordinator AICC Vichar Vibhag, expressed serious concern over the silence of the rulings dispensation with regards to taking away thousands of cores of rupees illegally outside the country and also failure to provide employment to the educated unemployed youth. He said that the BJP leaders and former BJP Ministers in the State were following the model of their Central outfit to find excuses to divert public attention from misgovernance and rampant corruption.
Senior leaders Ashok Dubey, Arun Sharma, Kailash Saini, Krishan Saini, Vicky Dogra, Surinder Singh and Raj Kumari also spoke on the occasion.
