VIJAYPUR, Aug 20: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) today accused Industries Minister Chander Parkash Ganga and ruling BJP for depriving locals from jobs in industrial sectors.
“Locals hardly get any job in the industrial sector. Outsiders from the State have been employed in the industrial estates of Kathua whether it is Bari Brahmana, Samba or Kathua,” alleged former minister and JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh, while addressing a huge gathering at village Palli of Vijaypur.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister expressed concern over growing unemployment among the local educated youth and alleged that no concrete step has been taken up by the Government and especially the industries minister who is also MLA from Vijaypur Assembly Constituency.
He said that the situation has worsen because locals are deprived and instead of providing them jobs, the industries sector employing non-locals who are from other States.
Coming down heavily on BJP, Manjit Singh said that Jammu and Kashmir is being exploited by the divisive political parties whether they are regional or BJP just to remain in power.
“BJP speaks something else on one issue and PDP, which is in alliance with BJP, speaks quite different thing. Similarly, National Conference (NC) is also misleading the people in Kashmir with their agenda,” he alleged, while saying that trouble in Kashmir started with the PDP-BJP coalition came into being.
He said blackmailing tactics of the CM over national flag in Kashmir will not work unless and until, they do something fulfilling their promise of development and providing unemployment.
“You can see how our educated youth are without jobs. The Government has failed to generate employment for the unemployed educated youth. It shows they have failed to deliver on ground instead, controversial issues being raked up to hide their underperformance,” he alleged.
He also questioned silence of BJP with regard to toll tax in Lakhanpur where traders paying double taxes even as GST has also been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included-Babu Ram Bhagat, Master Thoru Ram,Pushpa Raj, Inder Paul Singh, Surinder Sharma, Sohan Lal, Ajay Sharma, Darshan Lal, Sodhagar Verma and Shamsher Singh.
