JAMMU, Aug 12: The BJP Core Group, which met at Guest House here today, stressed on more coordination between the coalition partners to remove the confusions created by Opposition parties on various issues.
According to party sources, the Core Group, which met under the chairmanship of State president, BJP, Sat Sharma stressed on holding periodical meetings of Coordination Committee (CC) of the alliance partners. The members in the meeting expressed serious concern over not convening such meetings for a pretty long time to discuss the polices and programmes of the Government as per the Agenda of Alliance (AoA).
The meeting among others was attended by Avinash Rai Khanna, national vice president and BJP Prabhari for J&K, Dr Jitendra Singh, Union MoS in PMO, Deputy Chief Minister,  Dr Nirmal Singh, Minister for Health and  Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, RSS leader and                 coordinator Parshotam Didichi, BJP general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul and party senior leader and MLC, Ashok Khajuria.
The members were of the opinion that not holding the Coordination Committee meeting for a pretty long time has been the main cause of lack of coordination in governance between the alliance partners, sources added.
Sources said that the issue of 35 A and role of Opposition also came up for deliberations in the meeting and members accused the opposition parties especially NC and Congress of misleading people on the issue and trying to hoodwink the public opinion.
The Core Group, however, stressed on good governance which is the hall mark of Agenda of Alliance (AoA) of two parties.  It decided that the BJP will enjoin upon the Government to concentrate on implementation of developmental projects and Central schemes for welfare as well as solving the immediate problems of people by providing them the basic necessities of life.
The meeting also took serious exception to the functioning of the Public Service Commission (PSC) and it was opined that the general perception about its functioning was not fair. The meeting decided that the Government will be asked to look into the working of PSC in the State so that the deserving candidates are not deprived of justice.
The PSC has drawn a flak for the recent selections made by it in which the candidates of a particular region were given a raw deal while the candidates of the other region were preferred, which generated a lot of public resentment and raised a question mark over its impartiality.
The Core Group also discussed the organizational matters and implementation of previous decisions including the Tiranga rally organized in connection with celebration of 75th year of Quit India Movement.
