JAMMU, Dec 27: BJP State Spokesperson Prof Virender Gupta today said that Government has yet not started paying attention towards development of tourists’ spots in Jammu region.
“One of the examples of neglecting attitude towards spots of Jammu is Aparna Ashram at Mantalai which has been ignored despite the fact that Union Tourism Ministry has advised for development of unattended property at Mantalai”, Prof Gupta said in a statement.
Pointing towards EXCELSIOR report, the BJP Spokesperson said, “it is regrettable that Tourism Department has not taken even the step of preparing Detailed Project Report (DPR) of developing infrastructure of Aparna Ashram”.
He said that without the development of Aparna Ashram the Mantalai-Sudhmahadev-Patnitop Tourism Circuit will remain incomplete. The BJP Spokesperson has welcomed the intervention of the State High Court, which has deputed Court Commissioner to furnish report concerning the existing infrastructure and facilities available at Mantalai.
He hoped that Tourism Department will wake up from deep slumber and initiate work on the development of infrastructure of Aparna Ashram.
