BJP betrayed people by making false promises: Tara Chand

JAMMU, July 7: Senior JKPCC leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand today said BJP betrayed the people of Jammu by making fake promises.
“Failure of BJP-PDP coalition has made people lose faith in democracy. PDP and BJP should apologise to the people of the State for creating political, economic and security problems for them”, Tara Chand said chairing the monthly meeting of Block Congress Committee, Khour.
Speaking on the farmers’ issues, he said PDP-BJP failed to provide water to the farmers for irrigation purposes. He said that the last Government failed to carry out desiltation work due to which water canal water didn’t reach the fields.
The senior JKPCC leader said that he provided best road connectivity during his tenure, but the condition of roads today is so worse that every other day some mishappening takes place. “Condition of hospitals is so worse that people don’t get basic facilities”, he said, adding, it is only during his tenure that development took place in Chhamb constituency.
The PDP-BJP Government and present MLA neglected Chhamb, as not even a single development work was done by them. He said that BJP betrayed the people of Jammu and people will give them a befitting reply in upcoming elections.
Appealing youngsters to join hands with the Congress party, he said that youth should come forward to give new and vibrant ideas. He asked the workers to increase activities on the ground and attract more young people towards party’s ideology. He said that Congress is the voice of all three regions, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
