BJP betrayed mandate of Jammu people: Mula Ram

JAMMU, July 6: Former minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram today said that BJP has betrayed the mandate of Jammu people and surrendered all the promises made with the people here.
In a meeting of the party held in Raipur-Domana, Mula Ram said that  BJP betrayed the mandate of people of Jammu by ignoring the core issues of Jammu people like employment of youth of Jammu, ignoring the genuine demands of border people for declaring backward area along international border and also reservation to the people living along international border of Jammu. He also  criticized BJP for not ignoring demand of allotment of 5 marla plots to the border people.
Mula Ram also criticized Central NDA Govt for increasing just meager amount of Rs 200 per quintal for paddy, which should be more than Rs 1000 quintal increase for the original rate of paddy. He also criticized the Modi Govt for failure on foreign policy.
Hari Singh Chib, member PCC while addressing meeting urged both the State and Central Govts for giving employment to the unemployed youth of J&K by expediting the process of recruitment both at Gazetted and at Non-Gazetted level and also recruiting the youth of border areas by sanctioning additional battalions of  para-military forces.
Chib also appealed to the Governor N N Vohra for regularization the services of daily wagers, contractual, adhoc and Anganwari workers and expected justice during Governor rule.
Senior leader Jung Bahadur demanded repairing of damaged portion of roads, portable drinking water and also giving old age and  widow pensions to the needy persons.
Other prominent who attended the meeting included Tallantar Singh,  Ramesh Singh, Arun Mehta,  Balkar Singh, Rajinder Verma,  Sanjay, Sunil Kumar, Sahil Kumar, Fakir Chand,  Kulbushan Singh, Pt Chuni Lal and Parshotam Singh.
