UDHAMPUR, Nov 11: Member Legislator Assembly (MLA),  from Udhampur constituency, Pawan Gupta today said that State Unit of Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP) has accepted that discrimination with Jammu region is still continuing and people of Jammu region are dominated by Kashmir centric politics.
Addressing a press conference here, he said while submitting a memorandum to the newly appointed interlocutor, Dineshwar Sharma by a BJP delegation led by its State President, Sat Sharma at Jammu it has accepted that the discrimination with Jammu regions still continues. Gupta further said that it is very strange that BJP is complaining before the interlocutor that development of all three regions of the State i .e Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh is required to be on equal basis but party State president has forgotten that BJP is ruling at Centre as well as it is the collation partner of PDP in J&K. Gupta said that it is unfortunate that State president of ruling party is complaining with interlocutor by demanding equal development of all the three regions of J&K State who is not a competitive authority for the redressed of public grievances.
Gupta expressed that ultimately State unit of BJP has endorsed his stand of discrimination with Jammu region. He said it is more unfortunate that BJP betrayed the people of Jammu region who have given historic mandate to the party in last elections by becoming a “B” team of PDP in Collation Government.
