JAMMU, Oct 20: Two delegates from British International School, Pratiba Sopori and Magan Grover were awarded with Inspirational Teacher for their commendable work in their field, for the current year recently in Jalandhar by Sheikh Karrar Husaain, chairman of national magazine Wednesday Times.
The event was held at CT Group of Institutions where Wednesday Times presented its first National Edulead Conclave & Recognition Awards to the country’s best Principals, Entrepreneurs and Inspirational Mentors.
Various panel discussions held were on the country’s education system.
Earlier, Mr Channi, guest of honour started the event by illuminating the holy lamp.
Vijay Sampla, Member Parliament was the cheif guest on the occasion.
Various themes of the panel discussions focused also on the challenges in the education and the system, challenges related to the children and the impact of technology & moral values on them.
Dr Sandeepa Sood, Deepti, Shallu, Munish Chopra and Upasana spoke respectively for the panels whereas Neeraj Mohan Puri spoke on the Panacea to HR Decisions in K-12 Schools.
Mr Dhawan moderated the panel discussion on the emerging unrest among the students especially due to the peer pressure and the comparison.
The event ended with the cultural dance programme and finally a vote of thanks by the magazine’s chairman.
In another three day education fair, held in New Delhi recently, by India’s Didactic Association, under HRD Ministry, towards the progress of education and training in India, Pratiba and Magan Grover were also presented with three certificates of participation.
