JAMMU, Aug 22: All J&K Transport Welfare Association under TS Wazir has decided to hold election for the post of president Billawar Mini-bus Owners Association on September 9, 2018.
In a emergency meeting of the transporters/ mini-bus operators from Billawar area held here under the chairmanship of TS Wazir, chairman of the Association today, all the members unanimously decided to hold election for the post of president of Minibus-Owners Association, Billawar followed by subsequent induction/ election of other office bearers. It was decided that term of the president will be of three years. The candidates contesting for the post of president shall have to produce original registration certificate and route permit of the Mini-bus on his/ her name and running under the Union.
It was also decided that candidate will have to deposit Rs 10,000 as security in cash with the office of Chairman at 33-B, Old Nehru Market Ware House, Jammu and take/ fill up the form on August 27, 28 or 29 between 12 noon to 2 pm. The form has to be deposited by Aug 29 up to 2 pm with Election Board members at the same office in Jammu. Scrutiny of the papers will be conducted on August 30 while candidates can withdraw their names/ forms by August 31 up to 1 pm.
The poling will be held on Sept 9, 2018 from 11 am to 2 pm at Guest House, Billawar and the result will be declared on the same day after counting the votes, Mr Wazir said.
