JAMMU, Sept 26: Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan police has recovered stolen and missing items worth over Rs 1.5 lakh.
Reports said that, a woman Mahalingam Meenakshi hailing from Tamil Nadu lodged a complaint with Police Station Bhawan, regarding theft of Rs 40,000 cash and a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone worth over Rs 30,000.
After registering a case under relevant Sections, police started investigations and recovered the stolen cash and mobile phone, reports said, adding that the same has been handed over to the lady after completing legal formalities.
Report said that in the recent past, Bhawan police has also solved two theft cases and recovered around Rs 70,000.
Police party led by SHO Kuldeep Krishan Pandita made the recoveries.
