Srinagar, May 11: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, India’s second largest oil retailing company known for its customer excellence and modern retail outlets today in its unique initiative showcased its strength of maintaining quality at one of its retail outlets, Emjay Motors here in city centre.
Having gained market share and achieving leadership position in 2016-17 in Jammu and Kashmir, the company has pioneered in having almost entire network under automation in the State. “The customers of this retail outlet comprising of various backgrounds were invited to witness the quality and quantity being delivered and also taught to find out the same themselves while purchasing fuel in the presence of company officials,” said a BP official here.
Assistant Manager BPCL, Rizwan Ahmad, explained the automation system of the company to the gathering and also demonstrated the checks being conducted to ensure quality and quantity through a large screen dispaying various procedures leading to customer satisfaction.
The customers were also shown the sealing mechanism in the dispensing units with ways and means to check the quality and quantity of product being delivered. Over hundred customers witnessed the customer awareness techniques in the presence of high officials from the Legal Metrology Department. Joint Controller of Metrology Department, Amar Singh and Deputy Controller Tanveer Ahmad while participating in the event praised BPCL for being a forerunner in making the public aware of their rights and also assured that all precautions are being taken to ensure the right quality and quantity of petrol pumps.
Rajesh Sharma, the Territory Manager (retail) J&K informed the gathering that BPCL has become the first company which has made almost all of its retail outlets automated in the State and is committed to the expectations of customers round the clock. He further briefed to the gathering that such programmes and initiatives to bring the knowledge/ awareness customer’s doorstep is a regular practice in Jammu and Kashmir.
