KISHTWAR, Apr 13: Expressing grave concern over failure of Government in not releasing the quota of flour and sugar under APL category in district Kishtwar, Civil Society member and Congress leader Shamsher Singh Bhandari today said that people in this hilly belt are facing many hardships on account of the same.
Bhandari said this is for the first time that people have to face the scarcity of ration in this district and it shows the failure of the Government which has lost connectivity with masses who voted for it in previous elections. This further reveals the dismal performance of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, he added.
He demanded posting of doctors in PHCs of Chatru, Dachan and Padder. He said the land sliding in Drabshala and Kaligarh spot of Kishtwar Highway is often creating impediments in movement of traffic and immediate steps be taken to widen this portion of road to avert accidents in future. Besides he stressed on construction of Parking slot from Bus Stand Kishtwar to Kuleed Chowk.
