JAMMU, Jan 29: Former Minister and senior Congres leader Raman Bhalla, today said the the present coalition Government has failed on all counts and seems confused on the name of Governance. This was the observation of Raman Bhalla after attending a religious function in Nai Basti area of Gandhi Nagar constituency today.
While addressing the various deputations from Gandhi Nagar constituency former Minister expressed concern over problems of common people multiplying with each passing day, saying it seems that the PDP-BJP coalition Government is yet to take off despite over 22 months of being in office in State.
He said that the unprecedented crisis has taken toll of governance that left the people of the entire state to fend for themselves. While scarcity of rations at the CAPD sale outlets has caused enormous hardships to the consumers, the erratic power and drinking water supplies have added to their miseries.
He further said that transformers repaired in PDD workshops, mostly get damaged even within week, a fortnight or even a month. Most parts of Jammu were reeling under acute shortage of water, power and ration supply but the Government has not taken any effective steps to solve the problem, he said.
“The Congress party alone can ensure justice in every sphere of life and equitable development of all three regions and the backward and remote areas in the State,” former Minister said. He said that during the UPA-led government’s rule at the Centre, there was a massive financial support for Jammu and Kashmir which saw large scale development. “However all the development works done earlier have today have come to a standstill because of the wrong polices of the current Governments in the State and Centre,” he said.
