JAMMU, May 12: Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla today visited under construction community hall at Raipur Satwari and took stock of pace of progress of construction work, being executed here today.
He directed the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the project and also announced Rs. 10 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund for the community hall.
Bhalla said that community hall would facilitate the people, particularly poor lot of the Raipur Satwari and its adjoining areas to organize their social and religious functions on minimum charges.
He called upon the people to cooperate with executing agencies in completing the ongoing projects executed in the area within stipulated time frame.
Later, the Minister also convened public meeting at Raipur Satwari.
While speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Government is committed for equitable development of all the three region of the State, adding that the Government is focusing on timely completion of various developmental projects being executed in different parts of the State.
He said that construction work of 4th  Tawi bridge is almost complete and will tackle the traffic congestion in the Jammu city. He said the work on artificial lake is in full swing and after completion it will attracts tourists who will visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. This will boost the economy of the state and also generate employment avenues for the youth, he added.
The Minister said that State Government was making all out efforts to provide all infrastructure facilities to the people, adding that in this regard, Government has prepared a comprehensive plan to meet the developmental needs of the people.
The Minister said fulfilling people’s aspirations and developmental needs is top agenda of the Government. He assured the people that all their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner.
He said that Government has a comprehensive plan to use open spaces and develop recreational parks for beautification of Jammu and build walkways for facilitating people.
At Satyam Vihar Society, Trikuta Nagar Jammu, the people demanded for electrification in parks, renovation of roads, black topping of roads, good sewerage and drainage system, etc.
Mr. Bhalla assured that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a phased manner.
