JAMMU, Jan 16: Hitting out at PDP-BJP Government for making life of people miserable due to incompetent policies and administrative inexperience, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that people of State are cursing this insensitive Govt on daily basis for ignoring them completely and making them suffer for everything.
“The mess created by coalition has resulted in total administrative failure in the Jammu division”, Bhalla said while addressing a public meeting at Bathindi in Gandhi Nagar constituency.
The former Minister alleged that the administration was in a virtual dysfunction due to lack of political direction. Making a mention of lofty promises made by the BJP during 2014 Assembly elections in the area, Bhalla asked the gathering whether promises made to them fulfilled while people with one voice responded with loud `no’.
Blaming the present PDP-BJP coalition of weakening the Panchayati Raj System in the State by reversing the 73rd amendment, Bhalla said that the Government should ensure foolproof and conducive security environment for conduct of Panchayats and local bodies elections. He claimed that PDP-BJP Coalition Government will go down in history as an anti-democratic alliance which has reversed the empowerment of Panchayati Raj System by introducing indirect elections in Panchayats.
Bhalla also exhorted the cadres to strengthen democracy at the grass-root level and give a befitting reply to those opposed to the principles of powers to the people. He said the time has come to strengthen the ideology and principles followed by the Congress party and its great leaders for strengthening the secularism, socialism and inclusive democracy.

He also referred to scarcity of kerosene oil and denial of inputs to farmers, delay in release of pensions to different categories of identified beneficiaries and wages to daily rated workers, saying the Government had failed on all fronts.
