JAMMU, Oct 8: Notwithstanding NDA Govt having completed three years, it has failed to address most urgent issues which it had promised to address. This was observed by former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla while addressing public gathering at Shiv Nagar Yogi Mohalla Kunjwani in Gandhi Nagar constituency today. The programme was organized by Sarpanch Kashmir Singh and Sohan Singh.
While speaking Bhalla expressed serious concern over spurt in cases of dengue in Jammu province especially in the city which has once again raised questions over the awareness levels on its prevention by State Health Department as outbreak of dengue and swine flu has created panic in Jammu as 14 more cases of dengue and one case of H1N1 flu were found positive in the past 24 hours in the region. He called for strengthening treatment facilities at all major hospitals where the cases of dengue are being reported. He asked for upgrading facilities by adding more dedicated wards in all the hospitals where treatment for dengue is being provided.
Former minister said that GST has proved as big failure due to lack of proper planning and home work before its implementation. He sought explanation from BJP that why Government is not withdrawing toll tax at Lakhanpur and other parts of State and close down check posts. He said that the GST and demonetization destroyed the business and industry particularly local industry including industrialist and businessmen of country as well as State.
BJP had vehemently opposed the UPA’s Aadhar initiative before the 2014 election and made it a big electoral issue to scrap it completely when voted to power.  Once termed as a ‘fraud’ perpetrated on the country which had potential to risk the national security in terms of illegal migrants, it has now become a tool to eliminate fraud and bogus activities and also help identify the beneficiaries of Government schemes.
He said the coalition Government has lost its direction and its myopic vision has caused a developmental vacuum, which if not addressed will push the people to wall. He expressed anguish over dilapidated road network and ill kept utility services.
