Bhaderwah Tourism-cum-Cultural Festival concludes

BHADERWAH, Sept 11: Two days Bhaderwah Tourism-cum-Cultural Festival, organized by the Bhaderwah Development Authority culminated at Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) here with the mesmerizing performances of Sonali Dogra and renowned Fakira group of Rajasthan.
The festival witnessed huge and enthusiastic participation of local people and tourists from different parts of the country.
Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles Bhaderwah was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who while speaking said that tourism being the back bone of the State’s economy is strengthened by the efforts made by the State and Central Governments by creating tourism infrastructure and bringing more areas on the tourism map.
Speaking on occasion CEO, BDA Bal Krishan said, “Bhaderwah, being one of the favorite tourist destinations of the State requires more unexplored areas to be covered under tourism related activities.
He said that the festival provided a suitable platform to the local artists to showcase their talent and provided them a chance to interact with renowned artists of the country, who participated in the festival.
Main attraction of the musical night during the concluding function was the high octane performance by ‘Voice of Punjab’ fame Sonali Dogra. Meanwhile star attraction of the night was renowned National Award winning group ‘Fakira’ from Rajasthan, whose sufi songs and gazals in traditional Rajasthani folk style kept audiences spellbound.
Later, souvenirs and certificate were distributed among the participating artists, officials of different departments by Tehsildar Bhadarwah on behalf of Tourism Department.
