Beware of ill-conceived actions of MLAs over reservation in promotion issue: JAC

JAMMU, Jan 28: Joint Action Committee (JAC) said that some MLAs have framed an unholy consortium irrespective of party affiliation to pursue their nefarious objective of seeking passage of bill by overruling the judgment of High Court striking down the reservation in promotion rules.
Addressing a press conference, Ved Parkash Sharma, Convener JAC and President Brahman Sabha said that MLA Kargil, MLA Nubra, MLA Mendhar, MLA Gool, MLA Gulabgarh, MLA Ramban, MLA Chenani, MLA Hiranagar, MLA Samba, MLA Chamb, MLA Rajouri and MLA Surankote have formed an unholy group to pursue their nefarious designs of seeking passage of bill by overruling the judgment of High Court striking down the reservation in promotion rules 9, 10, 34 and Section 6 of Reservation Act 2005.
He asked the people to be aware of the ill-conceived actions of these MLAs and in particular Rigzin Zora and Deputy Speaker Nazir Gurezi, who in connivance with support of these MLAs contemplated to hold provocative rallies and protests on the issue of reservation in promotions, which is currently sub-judice in the Apex Court of the country.
The people have full faith and confidence on the visionary leader Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that she will not bent to efforts of these MLAs, who are making efforts to undermine the constitutional position of Article 370 and also making efforts to erode it.
While speaking, Narayan Singh, President, Rajput Sabha said that Deputy Speaker, Minister Choudhary Zulfkar Ali and other pro-reservation MLAs are pressurizing the Chief Minister to issue fresh directions to departments on the issue of no reservation in promotions, adding that attempt of these MLAs is to cause further erosion of Article 370 and special status granted to the J&K under the Constitution of India.
Vinod Gupta, President, Central Mahajan Sabha said that these pro-reservation persons are trying to bring amendments to overrule the justice delivered by judicial system after thorough scrutiny of rules and merits of case.
Captain Anil Gour, Secretary, JAC, Salim Bandey, Convener, JAC Poonch, Rajesh Sharma, Secretary, JAC Udhampur, Ravi Khajuria, Convener, JAC Samba, Syed Shamim, President, J&K General Category Welfare Forum and Aftab Andrabi, Patron, J&K General Category Welfare Forum, members of Aarakshan Virodhi Manch were also present during the conference.
