JAMMU, Aug 26: General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Jammu, Vinod Behnal today held a meeting with unit holders of Digiana Industrial Estate (DIE) and listened to their difficulties related to maintenance of the Industrial Estate.
During the meeting, which was held in the office chamber of Manager, DIE Jammu, Sansar Chand, the General Manager of the DIC Jammu, directed the Manager of DIE Jammu to keep in touch with the association of unit holders for the smooth functioning of the units established in this oldest Industrial estate of Digiana, Jammu.
Earlier, a cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan was organized at DIE Jammu under the leadership of General Manager, DIC Jammu, Vinod Behnal. A large number of entrepreneurs participated in the drive and cleaned a large portion of Industrial Estate including main lanes and by-lanes.
Varinder Sharma, Director, MSME was the chief guest. He actively participated in the programme along with Dr Andareas Peter, Naresh Vohra and Hardev Singh, all Functional Managers besides, Sansar Chand, Manager, DIE Jammu, Mohinder Sharma, Industrial Promotion Officer and other staff members of the DIC Jammu.
Among the industrialists who participated in the drive were Jatinder Aual, president, Digiana Industrial Estate, Jammu, Anil Modi, Parveen Jain, Sanjay Chopra, Kamal Gupta, Jaswinder Singh Manocha, Pardeep Jain and Parveen Kolhi.
They all took pledge to continue the drive till the last wild bush is not removed from the premises and were assured that after short intervals, review of the same shall be taken up by the DIC Jammu. Beside this, numbers of new street lights were installed and also got repaired the damaged lights for the removal of pitch darkness prevailed in some pockets especially in lanes and by-lanes.
This drive was organized on the direction of Rajinder Singh Tara, Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu.
