Srinagar, Dec 28: Two bear cubs who were trapped in a well while looking for water have been rescued by police and Wild Life Department officials in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Residents of Gousaennaad village of Ladhoo in Pulwama district said in search of drinking water, two bear cubs jumped into a well but couldn’t come out of it.
The residents said they informed police and officials of Wild Life Department who immediately swung into action and started efforts to rescue the cub duo.
After hectic efforts, the cubs were finally rescued and freed in  nearby woods. Residents, meanwhile, hailed police and Wild Life officials for their timely action.
