BDA, Tourism Deptt to organize Ski Workshop

BHADERWAH, Feb 22: To give a practical shape to promote adventure and snow tourism at Bhaderwah Valley in a big way, Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Tourism Department and Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering (JIM) is going to organise a week long training workshop here from March 19, 2018.
To seek inputs and to give a final shape to the forthcoming training programme, a meeting was organized at BDA’s Tourist Reception Center (TRC) Sarna here today.
The meeting in which Assistant Director (AD) Tourism Shazia Rehman, members from print and electronic media, officials and technocrats of BDA and JIM participated was presided over by CEO BDA Rajinder Prasad Khajuria.
According to tourism players, Bhadarwah beside being a wonderful destination for leisure and summer tourism, has got ample scope for adventure and snow tourism as well and they have been demanding that snow sports and other adventure activities should be projected and promoted to attract tourists round the year.
Beside BDA, tourism department has also shown a keen interest to promote Bhadarwah as major adventure tourism destination.
