BCC members stage protest

GANDOH (Doda), Feb 25: Congress unit  of  Sub Division, Gandoh today staged a protest demonstration against the District Administration and State Government over the non- performance of administrative works including development of area, pending wages of MGNERGA, shortage of doctors, medicines etc in the area.
Former minister and senior Congress leader   Mohd Sharif Niaz  was leading the protest. Niaz lamented that there is acute shortage of basic essentials in the area including  ration and kerosene oil but the local administration and State Government are taking far granted the appeals of poor people.
He said that the main road to Gandoh and several link roads are in a dilapidated condition which led  to problems to commuters of the area falling under Gandoh and Kahra.
Taking dig at State Govt,  the protestors from Congress party alleged that the State Government is incompetent  and the officers appointed by them in the area are in-affective. There is  no development work in progress since the PDP-BJP Government came into existence.
They threatened  to launch  massive protest in future if the genuine demands of poor people of this area  are not fulfilled by Administration and the State Government.
Prominent among those who joined protest included  Block president Om Parkash Parihar, Mohd Abass Rather, Fayaz Batt, Ch Noor Hussain, Ranjeet Singh ,Shah Din Chilly, Mohd Abass Mujbrie and Altaf Ahmed, former Sarpanch.
