BBIA delegation interacts with Labour Commissioner

JAMMU, Sept 9: A delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association under the leadership of Lalit Mahajan  president, BBIA and assisted by Ajay Langer, general secretary BBIA and Ajit Bawa, president, Kathua Industrial Unit Association met the Labour Commissioner J&K, Dr Abdual Rashid, at Srinagar and discussed various issues related to Industrial sector.
During the meeting with the Labour Commissioner, president BBIA highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial sector which includes exemption to micro and small scale units with the employment of less 10 workers from preview of factory license, renewal of factory license for SSI sector for a period of 5 years in-stead of one year at present, shortage of doctors and para medical staff in the ESI dispensaries across the State, non- issuance of Provident Fund Contribution statements of the employees, adoption of `Ease of Doing Business’ concept for the online submission of the returns related to Labour Department and other related issues.
Dr Abdul Rashid gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by Lalit Mahajan and briefed the delegation in respect of the requisite steps already taken by the department to resolve the pending issues related to the Industrial sector under the guidance of Minister of Finance, Labour and Employment and said that the department is committed to introduce the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ concept for the Industrial units of the State as early as possible.
