KOLKATA, Feb 24: It will be the battle of equals as Parvez Rasool led Jammu and Kashmir takes on almost equally poised Subramanium Badrinath led Hyderabad in their opening match of Group D Vijay Hazare One-Day Cricket Tournament at Yadhavpur University ground, here tomorrow.
While J&K will be banking on the trio of Ian Dev Singh, Parvez Rasool and Shubham Khajuria in their batting, Hyderabad will heavily rely on skipper S. Badrinath, Tanmay Aggarwal and wicketkeeper Sharad Muduraj in their batting.
On the bowling front, Jammu and Kashmir have the likes of speedsters Ramdayal Punia and Mohd Muddasir in their ranks and the spinning trio of Parvez Rasool, Manik Gupta and Aamir Aziz, while on the other hand, Hyderabad will be banking on the trio of Mohd Siraj, Mehdi Hassan, Ravi Kiran and Akshat Reddy in the bowling department.
Though, there are too many youngsters waiting in the wings for their opportunity in both the teams, however, it depends on as to who will make the playing XI, when both the captains will take a decision on it after seeing the conditions in the morning tomorrow. To name a few are Pranav Gupta, Manzoor Pandov and Owais Shah from J&K and Akash Bandari, Himalya Aggarwal and Chama Milind from Hyderabad.
