Bari Brahmana police arrests absconder after 9 years

SAMBA, Mar 25: Bari Brahmana police today arrested an absconder after nine years.
Police said the arrest of absconder identified as Raj Kumar alias Raju, S/o Som Nath R/o Jindrah, Bari Brahmana was made by a team of Police Station, Bari Brahmana headed by Sub Inspector, Purab Singh under the supervision of Inspector, Darshan Singh, SHO Bari Brahmana and Sunil Kesar, SDPO, Bari Brahmana.
The accused was wanted in case FIR No. 38/2009 U/S 457/380 RPC of P/S Bari Brahmana and was evading arrest for the last nine years after commission of crime. Accordingly, the accused was produced in the court of law and warrant issued against him under 512 CrPC by Additional Munsiff JMIC Samba got executed and the accused was sent to Sub- Jail Hiranagar.
Police said that Samba district police headed by SSP, Dr Koshal Sharma has launched a drive in the district against absconders, criminals and drug mafia.
