Baramulla CC registers big win in Chief Minister’s Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Feb 22: Baramulla Cricket Club defeated MM Cricket Club by a big margin of 139 runs in the ongoing 50-Overs Chief Minister’s Cricket Cup, being organized by Country Cricket Academy in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council at Gharota, here.
The Tournament is being played in the memory of former Chief Minister, Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, under the supervision of Director Country Cricket Academy, Vikrant Sharma.
Earlier, batting first, Baramulla Cricket Club scored a good total of 215 runs in 48.4 overs. Aaqib Irshad was the top scorer with 61 runs, while Bablu contributed 41 runs to the total. Zahid and Sajid also contributed 41 and 18 runs respectively. For MM Cricket Club, Sandeep took 4 wickets, while  Arjun, Rishab and Vishal claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, MM Cricket Club bundled out for 77 runs in 14.1 overs. Rishab Sahrma was the only batsman to cross double figures, scoring 26 runs. Mohin, Bablu and Aqib took 3 wickets each for Baramulla Cricket Club. Aaqib Irshad was adjudged as man of the match.
