Bar to go on indefinite strike

JAMMU, Apr 22: The work in the High Court as well as in district courts remained affected for the second day today due to the non-appearance of the advocates in protest against assault on a lawyer by Gandhi Nagar Police.
A protest dharna was also staged outside High Court Complex in which Advocates raised slogans against mishandling of Advocate by the police cops.
A General House meeting of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association was also convened under the chairmanship of its President Senior Advocate MK Bhardwaj in which it was unanimously decided that there will be indefinite strike till their demand of suspension of police cops was fulfilled.
Meanwhile, various Bar Associations of Jammu division extended support to the ongoing strike call of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu.
