Banihal’s village gets electricity

RAMBAN, Dec 28: Located just 500 meters downwards on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, an ignored village Karalana, Panchayat Sarbgani in Banihal tehsil has received electricity for the first time.
This has happened with untried efforts of, BJP’s Incharge for Ramban district Rajeev Charak, who also dedicated the first transformer to the people and electrified the village, which was long pending demands of the inhabitants.
“People were demanding electricity since independence but successive Governments failed to address this genuine issue, It is all due to efforts of Dr Nirmal Singh that this village gets electrified”, Charak said.
Charak also conducted extensive tour of Assar, Batote Doda, Kashtigarh, Ramban, Ukhral and adjoining areas, people apprised him about various problems being faced by them.
In his addresses, he said, “Government is steadfast on commitments and promises made to people and is working on the agenda of good governance besides providing basic facilities to the people”.
Among others present were Narad Singh Mandal President, Om Singh Mandal Vice President, Bheem Singh and Rustam Ali General Secretaries, etc.
